Some photographers in the Milwaukee area may have trouble doing an engagement photo session in winter due to the cold weather. The Milwaukee Central Public Library is one of many places that could be an excellent option for an indoor winter photo session. Jacqueline and Cameron, the couples I photographed, fell in love with the buildings’ architecture and wanted their engagement photo session to be there.

The Milwaukee Central Library accommodates photo sessions; however, you must call in advance for permission regarding the date and time.

After we spent some time photographing inside the library entrance, we stepped outside to take some outdoor pictures. It was snowing outside, which excited me, as winter outdoor sessions have their charm. Lighting is often softer in winter, and the snow can serve as a great backdrop and a perfect reflector that gives beautiful catch-catch light eyes and amazingly smooth skin.
