Thomas and Katie’s Wedding: A Milwaukee Celebration
When I first met Thomas and Katie, they were planning an intimate elopement with just their closest family and friends. But as they envisioned their perfect day, they realized they wanted more—more love, more celebration, and more memories with the people who mattered most. So, they decided to shift their date, giving themselves time to plan the whole wedding of their dreams.
And what a dream it was!
From the start, Thomas and Katie were an absolute joy—sweet, fun, and so easy to work with. Their wedding day began at theMarriott Downtown Milwaukee, where the bride got ready surrounded by family and her lively bridesmaids. After slipping into her stunning gown, we stepped outside the hotel for their emotional first look.
From there, we wandered through Milwaukee’s most picturesque spots:
The Federal Building is a timeless, elegant setting for a couple’s portrait photos.
Our final stop was the Cooperage MKE, a venue rich with history and charm. Originally a 19th-century cooperage (barrel-making workshop), its riverside location blends industrial character with modern elegance. The wedding party photos took place before the couple said their vows in a beautiful outdoor ceremony.
Afterward, guests enjoyed cocktail hour and reception, complete with delicious catering by The Cooperage. As the sun dipped below the skyline, we snuck up to the rooftop for golden-hour bride & groom’s portraits before the celebration continued with a cozy family-style dinner.
Thomas and Katie’s wedding was a perfect mix of urban sophistication and heartfelt moments—precisely the kind of day they’d dreamed of.
