An Elopement Wedding, Outdoor Ceremony, at the Geneva Inn. A weekday wedding.
Having a weekday wedding is a good option for some couples. The chances of finding a venue and other services could be higher on a weekday wedding.
Mara & Carmelo were planning an intimate, simple, small wedding on Monday at the Geneva Inn by Lake Geneva. There were no plans to have groomsmen or bridesmaids, as they were not having a reception, just a small brunch after the ceremony. However, Mara still wanted to have nice pictures to remember the day.
Mara had selected a venue and a location close to her heart for her wedding. She remembers that she often came to Lake Geneva and walked The Shore Path with her dad when she was young.
As always, when I photograph at a venue for the first time, I arrive an hour earlier to scout the location and select the perfect spots for the bridal photo session. After a small conversation with the bartender, she showed me the Shore Path around Lake Geneva from the back of the Geneva Inn Hotel.
Geneva Lake has so much beauty that it is impossible to see everything unless you walk around the path! The path stretches almost 26 miles, weaving in and out of the woods along the shoreline.
The ceremony took place outdoors on the patio. The attendees were close family members.
After the ceremony and formal family pictures, Mara & Carmelo were ready for their pictures.
We started the photo session by going down to the Marina Shore; then, we walked around the shore path for more pictures.
Mara & Carmelo’s wedding was light and fun for the couples, the guests, and me.
