An Elopement Fall Wedding at the Murray Mansion in Racine, WI
Sandra and John are a laid-back couple who want to avoid the conventional style of big, traditional weddings. They were both leaning towards a stress-free, simple, intimate wedding day that included their closest friends and family members—a day filled with authenticity, meaning, and happiness. They also wanted the flexibility of the timeline that an elopement wedding offers.
The couple chose The Covenant at the Murray Mansion as the perfect location to exchange their vows. Murray Mansion is a historical, renovated mansion with all the detailing and character you would expect to see in a 140-year-old mansion. The location was an excellent location for pictures.
The couples decided to do a first look and all the bride & groom’s pictures before the ceremony. The day started with “getting ready” photos. Sandra was surrounded by her stepdaughters, who were her gorgeous bridesmaids. An emotional first look took place downstairs at the first level, and pictures of the couples followed. Sandra was not interested in going outside for pictures, as it was a November wedding, so we took most of the images inside the Mansion.
Sandy had written this note on her Instagram describing the year 2021. “While it certainly wasn’t a typical year,2021 was the best year of my life. I graduated with my master’s in Education Admin, got my first job in school leadership, got engaged, ran my 20th half marathon (Disney, of course), got married, became a stepmom to 3 amazing young women, and made several new friends. And I truly can’t wait to see what 2022 will bring.”
