A Rustic & Rainy Day Romance at Pioneer Creek Farm – Lomira, WI
If you’re dreaming of a rustic barn wedding with charm, space, and sweet touches around every corner, Pioneer Creek Farm in Lomira, WI, is a hidden gem. I recently had the honor of capturing a beautiful wedding there, and I can’t wait to share a little about the day—and the photos we got to take in this one-of-a-kind location.
The day started in the bride’s suite, a lovely, light-filled space that made for dreamy getting-ready photos. The excitement and anticipation built as the bride shared an emotional first look with her dad, a moment full of love, hugs, and a few happy tears.
This couple had planned an outdoor ceremony, but Wisconsin weather had other plans. Just before the ceremony, rain rolled in and the team at Pioneer Creek Farm quickly pivoted—moving everything inside the barn. Honestly? It made the day even more magical. The barn’s warm wood tones and soft lighting created a cozy, romantic backdrop for the vows. The groom saw his bride for the first time as she walked down the aisle, and his reaction said it all.
With a large wedding party, we had a blast capturing the joy and energy of the group all around the farm. One unique feature that makes this venue special is the chance to take photos with the llamas on-site. Yes—llamas! The barn owner welcomes the bride and groom to take pictures with them, and it’s always a fun, lighthearted moment that adds something extra to the gallery.
From the rustic charm to the venue’s flexibility, Pioneer Creek Farm was an incredible spot for this celebration. Rain or shine, the love these two shared lit up the entire day—and the photos tell their story beautifully.
